Fifth Lesson

Disclaimer: I'm not hating on Justin, I asked for a celebrity and my friend suggested him :)

Anyways, this lesson Mr Powell said we should try combining real people with animals this lesson so I did Justin Bieber and a bear, JustBear. First I used this picture of Justin

but it didn't work with the bear as his head was bent whereas the bear's body shape was straight and it just looked weird when I put him on. This picture took me a whole lesson because I had to rub out Justin's head, then seeing he didn't fit well on the bear, I cut out the head of the bear and tried to put it on Justin but it wasn't working either so I had to change the picture of Justin. By the end of lesson, I only had Justin's head on the bear and haven't fully rubbed it out:

Fourth Lesson

This lesson, I tried to edit Claire Holt like Mr Powell showed us. I found a larger picture of Claire on the internet and went to work, in the end, I made her eyes couple of shades darker  and removed some freckles at the base of her neck. I tried to make her forehead smoother but I didn't use the cloning tool properly so there's a line across her forehead, its not that visible but if you look closely, its there.

Third Lesson

This lesson Mr Powell also talked about how PS (Photoshop) can make celebrities look slimmer and prettier and showed us a video....seriously! After the video, you could not recognize the woman at all :O Anyways, I made a pretty good picture today! I kept the original turtle picture from last week and used a new kitten image. After I got the positioning of the head correct, the kitten's head had a curve in it because it was leaning on something before the background was rubbed off so I went onto the internet and found a pillow that's pretty matching to the size of the curve and added it in.

I told my friend the video and she asked me to edit her picture but I gave her a lecture about 'natural' beauty and 'self-image' so hehe.

Second Lesson

After making the Emuog, Mr Powell wanted us to find two animals of our own and combine them. I thought about it for a while and decided I would put a kitten and turtle together. I was wrestling with two kitten pictures, one was cute but probably won't fit that well and one was pretty good fit but wasn't cute enough and of course, being me I chose the cute one. Everything was going well until I tried to change the colour of the kitten's eyes, for some reason, white went all around the eyes when I tried to rub it out. It looked kinda like a ninja kitten/turtle...here is a picture:

:( But after that, my friend pointed out to me that the head was the wrong way around anyways....

First Lesson (sort of) ~ The Emuog

To be honest, we've already had 2 lessons before this but this is the lesson that we set up our blogs so I'm going to count it as the first one :)

During the previous lessons, we fiddled around with an emu and frog...hence the name 'Emuog'. Mr  Powell taught us how to combine an emu's head with a frog's body and how to change the colour of different objects. I had a mess around with it and this is my final product ^^^
